Welcome to UCHSTG

Ummah College of Health Sciences and Technology is a community-based health institution that came into being following a series of deliberations by community and other influential leaders. The College was established in 2016 and started operation in 2017. It has the full backing and support of Jama’atu Izalatul Bid’ah Wa Iqamatus Sunnah (JIBWIS) Gombe State branch. The College is presently situated at the Markazu Science Secondary School GRA Gombe as its temporary site.

The College is to offer training programmes in various branches of health science and technology through appropriate instructions and exposure of its members in order to produce qualified health professionals and sub-professionals who will render health services and environmental safety for the benefit of the populace.

The College was established in line with the guidelines stipulated by the relevant bodies and other professional agencies and councils regulating designated courses and programmes, such as West African Health Examination Board of Nigeria (WAHEB), Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN), Health Education and Promotion Registration Board of Nigeria (HEPRBN), Medical Laboratory Council of Nigeria (MLCN), Environmental Health Council of Nigeria (EHECON) among others.

The College strives to produce new knowledge to address critical health and social issues in policy and practice, engage students in improving the health and well-being of the people locally and globally at large.
